Description

Reddish-brown fur above, greyish underneath. Head and body 90-110mm, tail 30-70mm. Tail is approximately half the head and body length and is dark above, pale below. Ears are short and usually hidden under the fur


Widespread througout the Great Britain and introduced into Ireland. Is widespread in Nottinghamshire recorded from 31 out of 35 hectads (18 since 2010) although many of these squares are represented by very few records.
